The Macomb Regional PTAC office will be closed Monday, January 16, 2017, in observance of Martin Luther King Day. 

RFP to hire a consultant to conduct the Joint Land Use Study for Camp Grayling and the Alpena Joint Training Center.   
The Northeast Michigan Council of Governments (NEMCOG) is seeking qualifications and proposals from firms to prepare a joint land use study (JLUS) for Camp Grayling Joint Military Training Center located in Crawford County, Michigan, and the Alpena Joint Training Center located in Alpena County, Michigan, on behalf of its member municipalities. DOD's Office of Economic Adjustment (OEA) provides grants to state and local governments to conduct a JLUS to support the long-term sustainability and operability of the military installation complex. A grant to NEMCOG to conduct a JLUS has been awarded by OEA. Interested firms must demonstrate knowledge and experience in community planning, development and land use issues, fiscal impact analysis, economic development, and military installation management and operations. Responses to this request must be received by NEMCOG no later than Thursday, February 16, 2017, at 4 p.m. Responses received after this deadline will not be considered.   A copy of the full RFQ/RFP is available on the NEMCOG website www.discovernortheastmichigan.org/jlus.asp
 
The 2017 Ground Vehicle Systems Engineering and Technology Symposium (GVSETS) & Advanced Planning Briefing for Industry (APBI)
Call for Abstracts: Deadline February 15, 2017
Scientists and engineers from government, academia and industry are invited to submit abstracts for the 9th Annual Ground Vehicle Systems Engineering and Technology Symposium & Advanced Planning Briefing for Industry sponsored by The Michigan Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), in coordination with The Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD).
 
The event, dedicated to the engineering and technology of military ground vehicles, will take place August 8-10, 2017.  August 10th will be dedicated to submitted talks in 5 main categories that will be presented in 5 parallel technical sessions. The conference will be held at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan.

DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) Training

Emerging Leaders Information Meeting

Attend an informational meeting to learn how the SBA's Emerging Leaders program can help you take your business to the next level.  The SBA's Michigan District Office has offered this opportunity to urban-based small business owners for nine years, at no cost to you.  If you are looking for a structured program that gives you resources and tools to build your business, then  join us on January 24th.    The program starts in late April and ends in early November (schedule will be set soon).  Throughout the course of the program, you will write a three year strategic plan that is tailored to your business.  And you will be introduced to a network of business experts that can help you as you implement your plan.
 
If you meet the criteria listed here, you could be one of 20 business owners selected.
  • You must have a minimum of $400,000 in annual sales but not more than $10 million.
  • You have been in business for at least three years.
  • Your business has at least one employee in addition to you as the owner.
  • The person participating in the program must be the CEO, COO, CFO, Owner, or President and be a key decision maker.
  • You will agree to commit to a total of 100 hours of programming, including 40 hours of class room training, seven CEO mentoring meetings, and course work assignments.
