042 Pro Blue on the new Ford Focus RS
   
We've got something a little different for you all this week - we've got a new color!
We at Tapeworks love hot hatchbacks - Rob's got a Fiesta ST that's a load of fun to drive, and when we heard that Ford were finally bringing the 350-horsepower German-built Focus RS to the United States, we knew we had to go take a look at it and, of course, put some Rimstripes on it.
Rob went up to Crossroads Ford here in Fuquay, since they had one in the flagship Nitrous Blue, and tried a bunch of different blues. Turns out a color we've had for a little while, but never advertised, was a near-perfect match - 042 Pro Blue! That brings our current count of available blue colors to 18!
Our Stripe-It-All Tool was configured with the Right End Bumper so we could install the stripe from the outside edge of the wheel. Wheels like these are exactly the reason we created that bumper - the Focus RS wheels don't have a clear inside edge, so we have to go from the outside and it works great!
And of course, just because the car is blue doesn't mean the stripes have to be blue, as well as they match! We also recommend taking a look at a set of 6107 CBR Red Rimstripes - it's our brightest non-fluorescent red and it really looks great with the bright blue on the rest of the car.
