Exceptional veneer patterning, design make these pieces standouts
Designed by Darwin Branded Environments, this boardroom table, unique round Summit tilt-top tables and lecterns left the factory on Jan. 9 for Indianapolis.
The main table is a 26-foot elliptical with a complex tabletop veneer pattern and a complex base structure. The tabletop features
quartered figured walnut in a book and butt match pattern, narrow strips of fumed lacrch inlay framing a band of quartered walnut in a radial pattern, non-figured plain sliced walnut in a radial pattern and a solid walnut edge. The tabletop is finished in different tones, and the base includes an interior elliptical surrounded by a second elliptical with openings.
The round Summits - perfect for executive dining room - are 6 feet in diameter with a trapezoid shaped base. The tops - made of plain sliced walnut veneer in book and butt match pattern and solid walnut reverse knife edges - tilt and casters extend for easy reconfigurability or to move when doing floor care.
Finally, these credenzas - what the client called "plinths" - are made of quartered non-figured walnut veneer, plain sliced walnut veneer and solid walnut. They feature a book stop made from that solid walnut and gooseneck lamps.
In all, eight lecterns were built, six dining tables and that beautiful boardroom table, and we're now working on a gorgeous C-shaped table for the same client.
