Welcome to Digital Pulse
To ring in the New Year, iEXCEL will soon be breaking ground to start construction on the
Global Center for Advanced Interprofessional Learning

Early 2017 finds the iEXCEL team working closely with the architects and UNMC Facilities Management & Planning on the final layout and design of the Global Center. On January 10th, the iEXCEL Design Groups and Strategic Advisory Group reviewed the final floor plans and received an update on the status of technology selection and integration.

A formal Groundbreaking Ceremony is being planned for April and the exact date will be announced shortly. You will start to notice construction activity on the corner of Emile and 42nd Streets!

iEXCEL Program Updates
iEXCEL held the first iEXCEL Retreat inviting partners from SIM-NE and the Sorrell Clinical Simulation Lab to attend. In preparation for the opening of the Global Center, this Retreat created a forum in which to discuss the organization and management of the expansion of simulation and the integration of visualization. In addition, leadership and staff participated in goal setting activities for the upcoming year.
