Merry Christmas!
Know that you and your loved ones are in our prayers as we celebrate the coming of Jesus Christ, the Light of the World!  We are especially mindful of our families and friends that have experienced the darkness of death, illness and unemployment this year.

We hope that the gift of love, the gift of peace and the gift of joy fill your hearts this Christmas and throughout the coming year!
May God bless you in all of your endeavors,

Tom Bednar
President

Alum Recognizes Students for Their Random Act of Kindness
We recently received this Facebook message from Dan Felice '07:  Hi, I was shopping at the Target across the street from the school and as I was leaving a few girls were waiting by the exit and were handing out Christmas candy. For no reason I guess it was just to make people's holidays a little brighter. Not sure if it was for a class project or if they were just being nice, but either way it is good to see a new generation of Spartans being nice in this increasingly complex world. From one Spartan to another, thank you. It was quite the gesture.

The message was shared with the faculty and staff at school and teacher Kate Michel '92 Kowlaski responded saying that the students in her Sociology class were tasked with committing positive acts of kindness as part of their norm breaking experiments.  Four of those students, Julia Rotondi '17, Ela Bertrand '18, Olivia Dorman '17 and John Brundage '17 decided to pass out candy to customers at Target.  Kate said that while they were the only four who were "caught in the act, there are many doing some great things this time of year!"

Thank you Dan Felice '07 for sharing this story.  We're so glad our students were able to share their kindness with an alum!

The support we received on #GivingTuesday was amazing!
Through your generosity, we were able to surpass our original goal and raise $21,790 for the St. Francis High School Scholarship Fund.

We are so thankful to all of our donors and for the matching donations from Wheaton Bank & Trust and The Ahern Family at Cassidy Tire & Service.

Your gifts demonstrate your belief in the importance of the Catholic, college-prep education that our faculty and staff deliver.
