Entrepreneurship education is the latest hot trend across the United States. Students want it-about four in ten students want to start their own businesses, according to a poll released in 2016 by Gallup - and schools want to deliver it.
Fortunately, Junior Achievement has almost 100 years of experience inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy. From the very beginning of our organization, we've been committed to teaching young people how business works.
The JA Company Program unlocks the innate ability in students to fill a need or solve a problem in their community by launching a business venture-unleashing their entrepreneurial spirit. The ultimate objective is to provide a relevant and authentic learning experience for young people that fosters innovation, ingenuity, and a strong entrepreneurial workforce in America.
Join us in the classroom, at events, or through contributions to JA as we continue to utilize the iconic JA Company Program and the other JA entrepreneurship programs to provide what our schools and our students are beginning to realize they want and need!

We want to extend a special thank you to The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for increasing their donation by 100% (that's DOUBLE what they gave last year!). Goodyear has been a long-time partner of Junior Achievement, both through financial contributions and classroom volunteerism. As they stated in the letter notifying us of this increase,
t
his grant "builds on Goodyear's commitment to education as we seek to inspire students and adults to reach their potential in school and prepare for careers." JANCO
cannot adequately express how grateful we are for long-term support from this organization and other like-minded donors. Thank you!

The JA Career Readiness Conference introduces high school students to future careers and provides them with the skills to apply for and secure their first job through interactive discussions, activities, and a business simulation competition.
During the JA Career Readiness Conference, students will have the opportunity to participate in ONE of the two different Conference Tracks during this one-day event. The two tracks are: The Titan Track, in which students use their business knowledge to compete for scholarships using the JA Titan online simulation program, and The Career Track, in which students learn about high-growth careers and interviewing best practices through interactive discussions and then participate in mock interviews.
After lunch, ALL STUDENTS will participate in a discussion of and activities relating to Financial Literacy using the JA Personal Finance program as the guide. Local banking and finance professionals will lead this activity. Students will learn that healthy personal finances take planning and managing and they begin to analyze major life events and issues that have financial implications. Then they will investigate budgeting and why many people have difficulty staying within a budget.
Space Is Limited!
