AHBA sponsored 1,032 children who are less fortunate in the Anchorage School District during the 2016 Christmas season! THANK YOU to the amazing volunteers who play a part year after year in the Shoebox Program! From donors to shoppers to backpack stuffers and school nurses, this program wouldn't be possible or such a huge success if it weren't for you!

The Steep Slope Ordinance  will go in front of the Anchorage Assembly on Tuesday, January 24. This is an ordinance of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly amending Anchorage Municipal code (new code) subsection 21.06.030 D. 4, establishment of grade plane for building height and 21.07.020. C. 3. I. Steep slope building design standards, to establish a simplified method for determining base grade and to allow construction in steep slope areas to the same height standards as the underlying zoning district allows. 

AHBA's goal is to provide safe, affordable housing and we need to maintain that.This ordinance will do just that! 

Please join AHBA at the Anchorage Assembly Chambers on Tuesday, January 24 to testify in favor of this ordinance.
