Explores the benefits and limitations of the Chromebook and facilitates the development of classroom management techniques designed for the 1:1 classroom. Develop an understanding and application of computational thinking concepts for educators. Evaluates offline, grade-level appropriate computational thinking activities for students, presents instructional strategies that foster student perseverance, and investigates the basics of coding author applications. Participants will develop an implementation plan for teaching computational thinking and coding.

This course demonstrates methods and strategies for presenting the key elements necessary for understanding the Holocaust: comparative genocide, the history of anti-Semitism, pre-war Jewish life, Nazi rise to power. Other topics covered include common issues that arise in teaching the Holocaust, the use of primary sources, and effective lessons plans.
