CEO MESSAGE: A QUARTERLY UPDATE
The focus since my last update has continued to be pursuing business opportunities for TNDC, budget planning for 2017-2018, advancing TNDC's strategic priorities and financial reporting to TNDC's shareholders. As reported at TNDC's 2017 Annual General Meeting in July, TNDC primarily serves the mineral exploration, development and mining sector, with most revenue generated by two business units. To foster TNDC's long-term sustainable growth, the company must embrace an innovative, progressive mindset beyond its traditional business model. TNDC's new strategic plan commits to this diversification and strengthening financial performance, as well as providing training and employment opportunities for Tahltan members. TNDC is actively seeking to increase participation in traditional business areas, while also to identify and pursue complimentary opportunities that diversify and capitalize on TNDC's experience, partnerships and local advantage.

RIDING FOR THE RECREATION CENTRE
Two energetic TNDC employees tackled the roller coaster terrain of the Telegraph Creek to Dease Lake road on mountain bikes on June 30th to raise funds for the Dease Lake Recreation Centre. Freeman Louie and Hankin Asp were two of 48 riders who participated in the 8th annual Tour de Telegraph bike ride. The 112-km road is famous for its beautiful scenery as well as extreme hills and 99 percent gravel terrain, making cycling extremely challenging. The bike ride was started by Tahltan Band Chief Rick McLean to raise funds for charity. This year's event raised more than $30,000. TNDC was one of more than 30 sponsors, which included several local businesses, TNDC business partners and resource companies.

TNDC PARTICIPATES IN 2017 CANADA DAY CELEBRATIONS
Rain couldn't dampen community spirits for 2017 Canada Day celebrations in Dease Lake on July 1st, which included a parade and social gathering. The theme of TNDC's float commemorated the history of Tahltan people in the territory and relations with gold rush prospectors and European fur traders, with establishment of Hudson Bay trading posts, which led to development of the 1910 Declaration of the Tahltan Tribe. TNDC was one of almost a dozen organizations that participated in the parade and several that set up tents giving away food and other items at the post-parade gathering. TNDC employees served barbequed hot dogs and frozen treats.
