Southwest Florida Healthcare executive Scott Kashman joins Real Men Give

Scott Kashman, Chief Acute Care Officer at Lee Health, is now a member of ‘Real Men Give.’ The concept behind ‘Real Men Give’ is simple. Each man brings a $500 check to one annual meeting and vote for the nonprofits they feel should receive a grant. They set a goal to raise $25,000 and award the group’s first grant after the first year.

Foundation welcomes new board member,
attorney Joan Henry

Joan Henry of Lusk, Drasites and Tolisano, P.A. has been practicing law in Florida since 1998, and is a Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. A graduate of Stetson University College of Law, she earned her Juris Doctor in 1997 after receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 1995 from the University of South Florida.

Social entrepreneur Leigh Clark joins
Next Generation Philanthropists

The Next Generation Philanthropists was established to connect, cultivate and inspire the next generation of philanthropists to become change agents in their communities – and provide education and training for the next generation of business and civic leaders. Grants will support initiatives that prepare next generation leaders to become social entrepreneurs, philanthropists and nonprofit board members. The grantmaking fund of Next Generation Philanthropists set a goal to raise $25,000 and award the group’s first grant after the first year. Each member donates $500 annually.

Leigh Clark is the newest member.  Whether it’s covering the bridge toll of the driver behind her, dropping off crayons and coloring books to the children’s hospital or paying off someone’s layaway – Leigh operates on the principles of generosity and love.

HBKS Wealth Advisor Dean Piccirillo shares why he supports Cape Coral Community Foundation

“As a local professional involved in the business and nonprofit community in Southwest Florida, I am well aware of the great work the Foundation has done and continues to do on a regional basis," says Dean Piccirillo, Principal Senior Financial Advisor for HBKS Wealth Advisors.

"I am also very excited about some of the new initiatives begun by this board of directors as they look to build upon the Foundation’s long history of success by broadening the Foundation’s reach, looking for opportunities to partner with other like-minded institutions, leveraging resources to benefit our community on a national and perhaps global basis and educating nonprofits and other worthy organizations in Cape Coral and around Southwest Florida.”  Read more >>
