We began the project in 2016 with an evaluation of the existing wetland and
stream and preparation of a wetland and stream restoration plan. After plan approval, local, state and federal permit

ation and collaborated on the wetland restoration planning. They will also work closely with TruslowRC on restoration implementation. C.S. Lord Excavating is our contractor on the project.
Funding for the land purchase and restoration project had been granted to Three Rivers Land Trust by the Maine Natural Resource Conservation Program, administered by the Maine Chapter of the Nature Conservancy.
This project is part of a larger effort by Three Rivers Land Trust to provide enhanced nesting habitat for Blanding's Turtles in this focus area in western Alfred, Maine. Stay tuned for updates!
