Ingham Impact Podcast
The Early College at Lansing Community College (LCC) offers students an opportunity to start college while they are still in high school. Students commit to extend their high school graduation by one year and attend high school and college-level courses all day on LCC's campus. Students can earn up to 60 college credits at no cost. This is one of the many innovative programs offered to students that support student achievement each and every day. Thank you to our talented team of instructors at The Early College. #inghamimpact
Early Childhood is Hopping!
It really takes partnerships with our community to help our youngest students be prepared to start school. The School Readiness Advisory Committee of the Ingham Great Start Collaborative worked with CADL and MSUFCU  to print 5,000 Early Learning Calendars. In addition, more spots opened for Great Parents, Great Start home visitation program, and the Michigan Department of Education audited our programs with a positive result. A child's mind is like a sponge when it comes to learning. It's important to start as early as possible.
Ingham ISD's Instructional Focus Recognized
Being focused on student outcomes is critical to moving the needle on student achievement. For eight years,  Ingham ISD has partnered with local districts with a focus on a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) to meet all students where they are in their learning. The December 13 issue of Ed Weekly highlights Ingham ISD and two of our local districts, Mason and Holt. The articles focus on practical lessons learned and the estimated costs to implement an MTSS model. We are happy to share our journey with others.  #inghamimpact

A New Season for Curious Crew!
Curious Crew is a student-focused program that intrigues young minds. Ingham ISD's STEM Consultant, Rob Stephenson, is the mastermind behind the scripts, developing the "curriculum" in a fun and exciting way. Episode 301 and 302 aired on Thanksgiving day. Tune in to see more episodes this year on WKAR and check out the launch of the 24/7  WKAR PBS Kids channel in January. It's great to have a partner in WKAR. #CuriousCrew
