Reception honoring MBA graduates    
Start of a new tradition for our college

Graduates of Texas A&M University-Kingsville who earned degrees through the online MBA program were honored at a reception prior to the commencement ceremony o n Friday, December 9, 2016. The event, hosted by the College of Business Administration, was held in the CBA building to recognize students for their accomplishments and present them an opportunity to visit with faculty and fellow students.



Texas A&M-Kingsville honors future leaders for Who's Who recognition   
Nine business students selected
 
The 2016-2017 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges includes the names of 150 students from Texas A&M University-Kingsville who were selected as outstanding campus leaders. The students and their families were honored at a program held Nov. 12.

Representatives of the faculty, administration and student body nominated students. They are endorsed by the university's administration. The chosen students are selected based on scholarship, participation and leadership in their academic college or in the university and potential for future achievement. Only juniors, seniors and graduate students are eligible for inclusion in Who's Who.

The Texas A&M-Kingsville students join an elite group selected from more than 2,300 colleges and universities in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign countries. View students recognized here.


Six honored as distinguished students during winter commencement

Six graduates at Texas A&M University-Kingsville's winter commencement ceremony received the Distinguished Student Awards, sponsored by the Student Government Association.

To be nominated for the Distinguished Undergraduate Student Award, a student must be a graduating senior with no less than 60 credit hours earned at Texas A&M-Kingsville. The student must have at least a 3.4 grade point average and must be involved in extracurricular activities. The student also must have the endorsement of the dean of the college from which he/she receives a degree. Read more about this article.



Animal Rescue Kleberg receives $843 in donations    
Marketing students raised funds for the non-profit organization in just two weeks

Students in Dr. Jennifer Taylor's "Principles of Marketing" class initiated two online campaigns benefiting Animal Rescue Kleberg (ARK), a no-kill animal shelter. The campaigned ended on November 30th and the two classes raised
$843 dollars for ARK in two weeks! Over 13,000 people were exposed to the two campaigns via social media sites Facebook and Twitter. Students also learned about technological difficulties and contingency planning through this exercise. Thank you to all who donated to this important cause!
