Breakfast, Lunch and Supper Served in Boise School District!  

Boise School District participates in the USDA National School Breakfast, National School Lunch and Child and Adult Care Food Program's At Risk Supper Programs. Breakfast and lunch are served at all Boise schools. Suppers are provided at 7 schools with Boise Parks & Recreation after school programs including Garfield, Grace Jordan, Hawthorne, Jefferson, Morley Nelson, Whitney, and William Howard Taft,

Free & reduced price meals are available to students who qualify and are free to students who attend a Community Eligibility Provision schools. Free & reduced price meal applications are now being accepted. Eligibility is determined based on:

• Submitted Application: Household income and number of household members (see below for information on application process).
• No Application is necessary to receive free meals for students who:
• Qualify through Direct Certification. These include students who receive food stamps-SNAP, Temporary Assistance for Families in Idaho-TAFI, Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations-FDPIR, or are foster children.
• Are homeless, runaway or migrant (see Homeless Liaison at your school).
• Attend a CEP school.

• Apply on-line at https://foodservice.boiseschools.org or fill out 2017-2018 application, available at schools or the District Service Center, and return to the address listed on the application (Spanish applications are also available.)
• Applications may be submitted at any time during the year.
• Only one application per household.
• Households must list the name of all household members, each household member's income and the source of income (foster children can be included on the household application).
• An adult signature is required along with the last 4 digits of the adult's social security number. If a social security number is not available, it must be indicated on the application.
• Boise School District Food & Nutrition Services officials will review the applications and determine eligibility. Parents or guardians dissatisfied with the ruling of eligibility may discuss the decision with the determining officials(s) on an informal basis. A formal appeal can be made either orally or in writing.
• The information provided on the application may be verified at any time during the school year by the District, other program officials, auditors of State programs and law enforcement officials to look into violations of program rules.
