Foreclosure workshop
Do you want to purchase a foreclosed property at auction, but you don't know how? Learn about the complete foreclosure process, including important details about submitting bids electronically and participating in an auction. Please note that no legal or financial advice will be provided to attendees.  Reservations are not required but seating is limited.
In partnership with Florida Rural Legal Services, Clerk Doggett will be hosting recurring legal clinics for citizens on tenant rights and small claims court. Beginning December the Small Claims Court Clinic will be held at 10 a.m. on the first Tuesday of the month and cover what to do if a case has been filed against you. The Tenant Rights Clinic will be held at 10 a.m. on the second Tuesday of the month and cover tenant rights and responsibilities as well as the eviction process. 

Both clinics will be held at the Clerk's main office. Reservations are not required but seating is limited. For more information, contact Florida Rural Legal Services at 800-476-8937.
Clerk_s office receives 32nd consecutive national award of financial excellence
The Government Finance Officers Association has awarded the Lee County Clerk's office with its 32nd consecutive Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting award for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). The detailed report includes financial statements for Lee County and its constitutional offices. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
