Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue                November 2017

Live.  Love.  Rescue.

LIVE.  LOVE.  RESCUE.

Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue is a non-profit, completely volunteer-driven organization dedicated  to saving and re-homing Bulldogs with loving families.

Hundreds of Bulldogs are lost, abandoned, taken to animal shelters, or surrende red to rescue every year. Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue accepts Bulldogs whose owners can no longer keep them, and retrieves Bulldogs from shelters and undesirable situations. Our Bulldogs are placed in suitable homes as soon as reasonably possible.

Meet Tank!

Tank is a high energy bulldog who loves to be around people, play with other dogs, and even entertain himself with some toys. Tank is fully house trained and crate trained. Tank is eager to please, and is looking for an active furever family who will give him the love and attention he craves. He would be a great family dog.

Looking for a best friend? Tank is your guy! Tank will be by your side at all times. Do you need to go into the kitchen for a snack? Tank will go with you to be sure you get there safely. Tank will be your shadow.

Tank has plenty of energy and loves to play, but also naps with the best of them. His goal in life is to be best friends with everyone! Tank is looking for his furever family and is ready for adoption!

Fostering A Bulldog - Have You Ever Thought About It?
Looking for a way to help a dog in need? Do you love dogs, but aren't quite ready for the lifelong commitment of ownership? Fostering might be the perfect answer for you.

What exactly does fostering mean? It means bringing a homeless dog into your home, caring for them, providing them with affection and socialization, until a permanent family comes along who will love them forever.

Some animals aren't accustomed to life in a home - maybe they were rescued from a puppy mill, had previously lived as a stray, or were kept as an outside-only pet. They likely don't understand the concept of stairs and navigating around furniture, or might be frightened by unfamiliar sounds like vacuums and kitchen appliances. Even knowing how to alert their humans that they need to go to the bathroom can pose a challenge for them.

By living in a home with a family, pets are able to learn something new every day while getting one-on-one attention from their foster family. New experiences and unfamiliar sounds can be terrifying for an animal not used to them, but by having someone by their side to show them these things aren't too scary, they get a bit braver each day.

The benefits of fostering are numerous, and not only a wonderful thing for the dog and rescue, but can be beneficial to the one doing the fostering in so many ways!

Some say they could never foster a pet because it would be too hard to say goodbye when the pet is adopted, but consider the alternative. It may be hard to say goodbye to the animal you've bonded with, but it's important to remember that by opening your home, you are saving a life - and each dog you foster is a new life saved. And in many cases, the foster and adopter become friends and you follow your foster's further development. You become an important part of the mission to save homeless pets by not only giving that individual animal hope, but by making a difference for all animals.

Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue is always in need of additional fosters. Our need this time of the year is especially great. We take in more dogs in the summer and fosters tend to want a break through the holidays. We currently have several bulldogs needing to enter rescue that are on hold. We have others in boarding awaiting a foster. While the boarding facility is excellent, it does not provide the environment, training and evaluation provided by a foster home.

Please contact us if you have any questions about fostering or if you would like to join our team of fosters. Training and support are always provided. We just need you to provide a loving heart and home! You can fill out an application on our website or email us for more information.

It will be life-changing for you and the bulldog you bring into your home!

Consider Becoming a Foster Family

Our ability to rescue dogs from undesirable conditions is limited by the foster homes available. We always need more caring homes in the metroplex to help these precious dogs begin a new life. For more information on how you can get involved, visit our Volunteer page on our website.
