Large elliptical boardroom table, side gallery tables standout for size, technology solutions

Designed by Tilton, Kelly and Bell of Chicago, this open center elliptical boardroom table and side gallery tables are standouts for their size, unique monitor wells and engineering.

WallGoldfinger worked with the designer and client to engineer a table solution that would allow for large monitors and visibility across the table through the creation of monitor wells. WallGoldfinger's furniture makers even built a section of the table for the client to try out to ensure the full table would meet their needs for comfort and visibility.

The end result of the custom project was a nearly 50-foot main elliptical table with an open end. It included the angled monitors in recessed wells, gooseneck microphones, power boxes, a riser and quartered ash veneer in a radial pattern.

Gallery tables - three in total plus a control table - are straight versions of the elliptical table and frame the table in the client's large meeting room.

In addition to the mock-up, the client was able to see concept illustrations of the table by itself and set in the client's boardroom as well as view and approve detailed engineering drawings showing sight lines and exactly how the furniture was built.

Here we show the tables in concept drawings, working drawings, in progress and installed.
