Paint-cation in Mexico + Demo of "Portable" Art Materials.
Welcome back to another BobBlast!
The first part of this BobBlast was filmed last week during the Art of the Carolinas Trade Show. I am so excited about the upcoming Mexico Workshop, I wanted to introduce you to Bob Masla, owner of the Casa de los Artistas.
Casa de los Artistas - a painter's vacation, great accommodations, personal service, ten miles south of Puerto Vallarta in a quaint fishing village. Just imagine, waking up to the aroma of mesquite and charcoal, roosters crowing and the sound of ocean waves. We work on our own on the top floor of the Casa - an open floor studio, with amazing views - painting all day.
I'm bringing my acrylic paints, water soluble pencils and plenty of paper. Water soluble pencils are excellent to travel with - whether you are painting on location or in the studio.
This week's video demonstrates how I use these pencils: Derwent InkTense, Derwent Intense Blocks and Faber-Castell. With these minimal materials, I am able to work quickly and have the look and feel of paint.
Hope to see you at the Casa!
