New faculty
Jaime True Daley joins the SOE as assistant professor of education, specializing in special education. Daley's research centers on the efficacy of instructional practices in K-12 and post-secondary schools with a self-determination framework. Learn more .

Daley will also teach in and support the SOE's new online MEd in Exceptional and Children and Youth program.
Akisha Jones is a research assistant professor in the SOE at the Center for Research in Education and Social Policy . Her work focuses on using research to improve educational policy, practices, and outcomes in urban contexts and among underserved populations. Learn more.
Jones's research also focuses on issues related to equity, diversity, and inclusion, including implicit bias among educators and disciplinary practices that disproportionately affect black students in American schools. Janine De Novais will join the SOE as assistant professor in September 2018. Her primary research interests include the intersection of race and education, specifically classroom experiences and students' understandings of race. Learn more.
Partnerships 
More than 60 faculty, staff, and professionals attended the UD Partnership for Public Education's first Education Partnership Academy. The Partnership for Public Education works to optimize educational partnership work in Delaware and provide sustained support to public schools. Learn more.
This month, UD College of Education and Human Development faculty and staff led professional development sessions in Responsive Classroom and literacy instruction for the teachers and staff of Stubbs Elementary School in support of CEHD's partnership with Christina School District. Learn more .
