Jordan Pegram

From Dundas, Virginia, Jordan Pegram graduated high school from Kenston Forest School. She concurrently earned an  Associate of Arts and Sciences in General Studies through Southside Virginia Community College's Dual-Enrollment program.  After graduating from Kenston and SVCC, Jordan transferred to Virginia Tech where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology.

Jordan currently is employed by the National Weather Service's forecast office in Tucson, Arizona as a full-time Meteorologist Intern. She is also continuing her education, pursuing a graduate degree from Mississippi State University.

On her experience  as a Southside student, Jordan says,"SVCC provided me with the first steps in reaching my dream of becoming a Meteorologist. Without the Dual-Enrollment classes and all of the helpful and encouraging staff at the college, I wouldn't have been able graduate high school with my Associate Degree, and then graduate from Virginia Tech early and ultimately receive a position with my dream job at the age of 21. The motto 'Success Starts Here' certainly proved to be true in my case! Thanks to everyone at SVCC for helping begin my success story!"
