A Look Back at the 2017-18 Northeast Farm to School Institute Kickoff Retreat
Twelve school teams from the Northeast convened last month to kickoff the NE Farm to School Institute
to advance food, farm, and nutrition education and expand local products served in cafeterias. Over its ten years, the Institute has supported FTS programs at 62 schools and districts, reaching over 38,000 Northeast students!
"The whole purpose of this is to feed hungry kids good food," says Mary Dunn, Albert S. Hall School 5th grade teacher, and founder of the school's Farm to School efforts. We follow the team from Waterville, Maine during the course of the three-day Institute Kickoff Retreat.

New Bill Strengthens Vermont's Farm to School Network
Vermont Governor Phil Scott signed S.33, the Rozo McLaughlin Farm to School bill, which will further enhance Vermont Farm to School by expanding the program and setting new, ambitious goals for growth.
