Noach (Comfort)
Flood of Fire
An Excerpt from CG Workbook One Vol 1

As it was in the days of Noach, the future coming of the Son of Man will be accompanied by a purging flood of fire, as 2 Peter 3 promises.  The resurrected Yeshua told his disciples to tarry in Jerusalem until Shavuot so that they could receive the Holy Spirit of Adonai, a mikveh (immersion) of fire that would empower them to preach to the nations as Noach did, to beckon mankind to the comforting ark of salvation, Yeshua our Messiah, the Creative Word.

And the axe is already laid at the root of the trees; every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.  As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.  And His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. (Matthew 3:10-12)

In the days of Noach, the earth was filled with chamas, robbery and hatred characterized by violence.  Yeshua promised that days would come that would be like that. Chamas is not just a group of Palestinian Arabs trying to kill Jews and Christians through hate, violence, and every despicable form of terror.  The Prophets specifically identify chamas so that we can locate the beast today.

In the Prophets, chamas is the practice of the priesthood refusing to teach the Torah to the people; specifically, the priests failed to teach:

·      a love of the Sabbaths and festivals

·      the difference between clean and unclean

·      love for the stranger, alien, orphan, and widow, which              are associated with the festivals.

The perpetrators of chamas could not be clearer from three major prophets:

Thus says the Lord, "Do justice and righteousness, and deliver the one who has been robbed from the power of his oppressor. Also do not mistreat or do violence to the     stranger, the orphan, or the widow; and do not shed innocent blood in this place.(Jeremiah 22:3)

Her priests have done violence to My Torah and have profaned My holy things; they have made no distinction between the holy and the profane, and they have not taught the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they hide their eyes from My sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. (Ezekiel 22:26)

Her prophets are reckless, treacherous men; her priests have profaned the sanctuary. They have done violence to the Torah... (Zephaniah 3:4)

As a holy priesthood and lively stones, "Torah-keepers" have an obligation to teach by example the difference between clean and unclean, the Sabbath and every other day, the holy days of Adonai and the holy days of every other god.  As a holy priesthood, we teach by example and do no violence to one another with the Torah, but set a holy standard that astounds the world with the wisdom and righteousness of the Holy One we serve.

As a holy priesthood, we don't just talk ABOUT the feasts and Shabbat, but we protect their holiness in our lives and thoughts.  We can't just talk ABOUT doing good, we must BE good, especially to the stranger, alien, orphan, and widow...anyone who needs a boost up  so that he or she may rest in the Sabbath and holy feasts with the holy community as brothers and sisters.  To do anything less is to do chamas to the Torah, which is loving one another with it, not beating up fellow-servants with it.  To do less is to be a Torah terrorist, robbing brothers and sisters of entering the comforting rest of Messiah in times of tribulation.

Such a self-serving attitude fills the earth with chamas, but those who preach righteousness by BEING merciful, faithful, righteous, and just with one another will find comfort in a time of terror and judgment.  They comfort one another with the Word, and they will hover with Messiah on the surface of the waters; they need only receive him into their vessels to receive shalom and noach in troubled times.

"Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
