News from Boise Lodge # 2.
Brother Jim Ladd and myself were able to make the 2nd part of our donation to
Pierce Park Elementary School's Food Bank for their families on 8/26/2016.
This was a $500 donation for them to use within their food bank. The funds is the
2nd half of the money that we received from Brother Jim Ladd's Annual Masonic
Disc Golf tournament held in June at Eagle Island State Park.
The Disc Gold tournament raised a total of $1000 where Brother Jim and myself
presented the other $500 earlier this year to the VA Retirement Facility.
We needed to wait until the school officials returned from their summer break to
present this donation. I also realized that I did not submit this for everyone to be
aware of where their donations went. I apologize for the late submittal.
Fraternally,
Brother Gene Ammerman

Placer Lodge #3 Reminder - November Stated Meeting Saturday the 5th
Dear Brothers
This is your friendly reminder that our next monthly meeting is Saturday, November 5th, in Horseshoe Bend. Dinner at 5:00 pm and Lodge at 6:00 pm. Remember that November is elections for 2017 officers (thanks for the reminder Bro George!). And the meeting is in Horseshoe Bend.
We had a great open house in Placerville last Saturday night, my guess is over 50 people came through the lodge building and shared in the history of our fraternity (and coffee!)! Many thanks to Brother Don Nelson for spending most of the night narrating tours, brothers George Butters, Tom Parker, and Bucky Snyder also provided huge support!
We secured one petition and will have many more follow ups from this event. Well done brethren!
Best regards,
Jeff McMurran, WM
