After speaking with a friend of mine a few days ago about the contentious elections, I asked her, "And who are you voting for in the Senate election?" Her response? "Oh, I didn't know we had a Senate election on the ballot!"
This is an all too common statement around Louisiana. Don't forget to be prepared to vote for our next Senator!

Chers Bébés is Wednesday night!
Acadiana and Louisiana Right to Life will host the third annual Chers Bébés: Acadiana's Soirée For Life, on Wednesday, Nov. 2. The event begins at 7 p.m. at Le Pavillon, 1913 Kaliste Saloom Road, Lafayette.

Trump Exposes Clinton's Extremism in Debate

Trump was right.
Don't hear that too often, do you?
Let me be clear: Certainly not everything Trump says is right. We are referring only to an exchange on abortion between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump during the last Presidential debate. And regardless of our opinion of Trump and his personality, we should recognize that he put the pro-abortion movement on defense in front on a national audience, a feat not often accomplished.
During the debate, moderator Chris Wallace challenged Clinton with a question about her vote against legislation to ban the gruesome practice of partial-birth abortion.
Clinton avoided the reality of partial-birth abortion and what it does to a living baby. She instead focused on the plight a woman may face, hoping that anguish somehow obscures the objective reality of abortion.
Trump, in his response, sought to cut through the clutter and tell what Clinton's vote against the partial-birth abortion ban actually meant: That abortion should be legal up until the moment before birth. Clinton's position on abortion has never been clearer than on March 13, 2003, when she cast that vote to keep partial-birth abortion legal. It confirms that Clinton favors no restrictions on abortion. "On-demand" is another way to describe it.
Interestingly, the other Senator from New York on that day, Chuck Schumer, also voted against the legislation. Sen. Schumer is in line to take over as majority leader in the Senate if the Democrats win the Senate on Tuesday. (Just a reminder about the stakes we face in Senate elections here and across the nation.)
Donald Trump further stated that in partial-birth abortion one could simply "rip the baby out of the womb" right before birth. Clinton, not wanting her position to sound extreme, pushed aside Trump's statement as not accurate. While Trump's statement may not have been exactly precise, it certainly cannot be discounted as Clinton attempted to do. His comments certainly encapsulate the extreme barbarism of partial-birth abortion, where an unborn baby is delivered feet first before its skull, while remaining in the birth canal, is punctured (see medical illustrations of the procedure).
Hillary Clinton voted to keep that procedure legal, and she has never backed away from that vote. Do not be surprised that a Clinton Administration, together with a Schumer Senate, would appoint justices who will see to it that partial-birth abortion is reinstated as a legal procedure in America.
Too often the media and our culture-at-large strive to paint pro-life Americans as "extreme." The reality, which I believe will be clear one day in our nation, is that the abortion industry, and those who defend it vigorously, are the ones pushing an extreme and deadly agenda. We applaud Donald Trump, and Chris Wallace, for making that just a little bit clearer.

40 Days for Life United Bus Tour Visits NOLA
The national 40 Days for Life team visited New Orleans Monday in its new RV, made possible by a generous Indiana donor, as part of the 40 Days for Life United Tour. The 40-day tour is being held to encourage participants of the 40 Days for Life campaigns across the country. Steve Karlen, North American campaign director, led the event at the New Orleans stop this year with help from local representatives of pro-life groups.
Karlen opened with a prayer and gave a rousing speech about the work of 40 Days for Life in the U.S. and across the globe. He encouraged the crowd to stay strong in the campaign and shared stories from his time on the road. He told one story of a father who came to a United event to introduce his son. A campaign participant outside the clinic he had taken his partner to for an abortion convinced him to go inside and persuade the mother to save his son's life. She agreed and left the facility, Karlen recounted.
Silent No More representative Bobbie Jones shared her story of abortion regret and healing, and Woman's New Life Center director Angie Thomas updated those gathered on the work pregnancy centers are doing locally and nationally. She also encouraged attendees to remain in prayer as they construct a new facility next to Planned Parenthood.
Benjamin Clapper, Louisiana Right to Life executive director, gave tips on civic involvement for pro-life issues and encouraged everyone to vote. New Orleans Projects Director Shanon Snyder closed the event in prayer and encouraged participants to stay the course as the final week of the 40 DFL campaign approaches.
