Yes, all Marathon runners, recover here for free on Monday, November 7, 2016. 

Deep Water Running is a non-impact form of running, done in the deep end of a pool, while wearing a flotation belt. It is perfect for both those with injuries and athletes who are interested in adding a challenge to their cross training workout. 
It's also safe seniors, pregnant women and post operative patients. 

Benefits:
Non-impact exercise for aerobic fitness helps speed up recovery process
Simulates land running and provides cross-training for runners. Beginners are welcome.
Class sessions include imaginary cross country courses, interval training, hill pacing, and timed sprint drills
Allows you to train while injured and maintain fitness while working with volume and intensity
Great addition to half marathon, marathon, or triathlon training

*First come, first served. Space is limited. You must have been a participant in the 2016 TCS New York City Marathon.

Where:  John Jay College 59th & 10th Avenue

Please note to enter at the 10th Avenue entrance between 58th and 59th Street

There is a security desk. Please allow time. It can be busy.
(you may be asked to sign in and show i.d.)

Sign in.
Go down the escalator to the elevators on the left side. 

Take the elevator to the "C" level. 
Turn left off the elevators and left again to the locker rooms.

This is an older facility. Please be aware of that. 
Bring a towel, a lock for your things (a bag may be brought to the pool deck) and bring things to wash with.

A hair cap is not required, but it is suggested that you at least tie up your hair, if it is long.

Please try to arrive with enough time to be on the pool deck before 7:00 pm so that I can help you put a belt on correctly.
