Sunshine and Prayers
Just thought it would be nice to mention Brother Nyal Pedersen, Hailey Lodge, who fell 15 feet from a roof and has had extensive surgery on his ankle 2 plates and 17 long screws) and will be laid up for almost 6 months. Brother Nyal got out of the hospital on Monday and is in Boise receiving home care and Meeka's care. Cards would be appreciated at 3476 Mineral Place, Boise, Idaho 83716.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brethren,
It is with a heavy heart that I pass along the news of our WM Bob Louthan.
Recently he was admitted to Kootenai Health and it was discovered that cancer has spread to many areas of his body. Bob has since been transferred to Hospice care in Hayden, on Prairie Avenue between Ramsey and Atlas. Visitors are welcome and his family would appreciate his friends stopping by. He is resting comfortable and may not be responsive.
I met with Bob's family yesterday and they expect that he only has days to live. Mary (Bob's wife) has asked that we provide Masonic services when the time comes. We will all do our best under these difficult circumstances. We will do our best to keep the Lodges in our District as well as District 12 updated on his condition.
Please keep Bob and his family in your prayers during this difficult time.
Bro. Andrew Evenson
Forwarded on behalf Dennis Bork Jr.
As you may already be aware, our WM Bob Louthan of Rathdrum #41 passed Friday 11/4. His family will be holding his service (we will be holding a masonic service) this Wednesday 11/9 at 1:00 PM at Yates funeral home in Hayden. We'd like to communicate this to the other lodges in the area but do not have the contact information for the neighboring lodge secretaries and brothers. Would you be able to send something out to those lodges letting them know of Bob's passing and his funeral service? If you can please have them call me at 208-964-6877 so we can coordinate. I fear there are some brothers out there that knew him well that we missed and word will not reach them in time.
I will also be attending, no doubt. I will bring a meat and a fruit tray. Maybe some apple salsa and chips if I have time to make it by then.
I have been in contact with Jimmy Brown at Spirit Lake who is working on rounding up his guys. Andrew has been in contact with Kootenai doing the same.
A masonic funeral is the one thing that we cannot fudge attendance on. Degrees and stated communications are important, but nowhere near as important as a funeral. This will be the time that Bob's family and the public get to see the organization he belonged to in action and will also be our time to say goodbye to a good brother and send him on his way, fulfilling his masonic wish.
As we all know, every MM is asked at one point whether they would like a masonic funeral. Bob requested this at some point in his masonic life and it is that one request that we can all answer and be a part of by simply showing up. I know it will be difficult for many of us as the service is in the middle of the day and in the middle of the workweek (heck, I'm canceling a site visit with a customer in Seattle to make it) but please try to stretch your cable tow as much as you can without breaking it. I hope to see everyone there!
(Don't forget we have a MM degree tomorrow 11/7 and elections on Thursday 11/10).
Thanks everyone!
Dennis S. Bork

Please keep our Brothers in your thoughts and prayers.

The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. and when the time is right lunch will be served downstairs, furnished by Jack Scott (probably more like his wife is doing it!!), and then back upstairs to finish.
