Celebrate at the beach
'Tis the season for fun on Washington's Long Beach Peninsula

Pacific County's coastal Christmas and holiday celebrations include the Crab Pot Christmas Tree lighting (above) on Dec. 3 in Ilwaco and the Bed & Breakfast Holiday Open House on Dec. 10-11.

The annual Tuba Christmas Concert is Dec. 10 in Ilwaco.
Make it a coastal Christmas

Holiday celebrations are planned across the Long Beach Peninsula, and many offer a uniquely coastal Christmas experience. The Crab Pot Christmas Tree in Ilwaco is a community favorite, while the Tuba Christmas concert rings in the holiday season in style. Here are a few more holiday events:

* Holidays at the Beach , Nov. 25-27
* Saturday Christmas Market, Nov. 26, Dec. 3, 10, 17
* Tuba Christmas, Dec. 10
                                                                  * Fireworks at Midnight , Dec. 31
See Cash'd Out on Nov. 20 and Kim Weitkamp on Nov. 21 in Raymond.
Sunday Afternoon Live in Nov.

The historic Raymond Theater has bolstered its annual Sunday Afternoon Live concert series with two special performances in November -- Johnny Cash tribute band Cash'd Out plays Nov. 20 at 2 p.m. and storyteller, humorist and spoken word artist Kim Weitkamp takes the stage Nov. 21 at 1 p.m.

Veronica Williams is a local mushroom expert and fixture of the annual Wild Mushroom Celebration, Oct. 1 to Nov. 15.
Wild Mushroom Celebration

The Peninsula's annual Wild Mushroom Celebration continues for just a couple more weeks. Lodging and dining specials continue at The Lost Roo, The Shelburne Inn, Boreas Bed & Breakfast Inn and Oceanfront Getaways, as do wild mushroom hikes at Fort Stevens State Park in Oregon. The celebration ends Nov. 15, so catch these specials while they last!

 Cranberry season continues on Washington's Long Beach Peninsula, where you can find fresh berries on roadside stands and at the Cranberry Museum.
Cranberries from the source

Cranberry season has been underway for several weeks on the Long Beach Peninsula, but there's still time to find fresh berries just in time for Thanksgiving because, let's be honest, nothing beats homemade cranberry sauce. Find fresh berries at roadside stands or at the Cranberry Museum in Long Beach.
