Live United - United Way

Greetings Friends,

We are just days away from this year's annual Day of Caring. More than 800 people from  70  l ocal businesses , schools  and organizations will volunteer their time to do great things for our community on  Wednesday, September 2 0 , 201 7  as United Way of Central West Virginia hosts its 12th annual Day of Caring event.

Volunteers representing people of all ages will bring the 'Give a Helping Hand' fundraising and service campaign to life! They will be paired up with local non-profit agencies in Boone, Clay, Kanawha, Logan, and Putnam counties and assist with 66 hands-on projects such as painting, cleaning, landscaping, construction and installing Born Learning Trails.

Our volunteers often perform tasks that our agency partners simply could not afford to do on their own.  Important work is accomplished, money is saved, team building happens and fun is had by one and all.  Our gratitude goes out to everyone involved in organizing this event, especially the awesome staff of United Way of Central West Virginia.

With thanks,
Margaret Ann O'Neal
President
United Way of Central West Virginia
