Let's get social!
Day of Caring volunteers and non-profit agency project hosts are encouraged to "get social" by sharing photos, videos and comments about all the great things taking place during Day of Caring.

What is a Hashtag?
A hashtag is the name given to the word or set of words prefixed by the symbol # (hash). It is used on social media platforms where hashtags help categorize tweets on particular topics, together. This helps people find all the tweets related to a particular topic easily and in one place.
PLEASE DO THIS:
Use the hashtag #DayofCaring2017 on all your Day of Caring Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts!

What is Facebook?
Facebook is a social networking website and service where users can post comments, share photographs and links to news or other interesting content on the web, play games, chat live, and even stream live video.
PLEASE DO THIS:
- Please have your company's Facebook page like the "United Way of Central WV" Facebook page (that way we can tag each other!)
- Make sure to include the hashtag #DayofCaring2017 in your posts.
- Go "Live on Facebook" by filming during Day of Caring. #DayofCaring2017 and we will share the video on the United Way of Central WV's Facebook page.
- TAG: If you see companies on your feed doing Day of Caring activities, tag the United Way of Central WV in the picture.
On the United Way Facebook page, you will find a "12th Annual United Way Day of Caring 2017" event page.
- Indicate that you are Going to this event.
- Ask your team members to join this event!
- Post photos and videos during Day of Caring. (Tag your own company, where you are, and what you are doing.)
- Don't forget to take team pictures and action shots and post to this event page.
- If you have a personal Facebook page, please like the "United Way of Central WV" Facebook page.

What is Twitter?
Twitter is an online news and social networking service where users post and interact with messages, "tweets", restricted to 140 characters.
PLEASE DO THIS:
- Follow the United Way of Central WV Twitter page at "UnitedWayCWV"
- Tweet on Day of Caring. An example tweet could be:
@UnitedWayCWV City National Bank loves #DayofCaring2017 and the YWCA Shanklin Center! (Add a picture to your post.)

What is Instagram?
Instagram is a mobile, desktop, and Internet-based photo-sharing application service that allows users to share pictures and videos either publicly or privately.
PLEASE DO THIS:
- Follow the United Way of Central WV Instagram page at "UnitedWayCWV"
- Post photos during Day of Caring. Tag us by using @unitedwaycwv and also use the hashtag #DayofCaring2017
