Connections: a New Program for Families in Pediatric Therapy
|
|
Encompass is excited to announce a new program to support families in pediatric therapy:
Connections. Connections will provide monthly workshops and social gatherings in the Upper and Lower Snoqualmie Valley areas to help you access resources, navigate systems, find allies, and advocate for your child.
To learn more about Connections, visit our
website, follow the
Connections page on Facebook, view the flyer below, or contact Parent and Family Engagement Coordinator
Sandra "Sam" Sinanan, who will be managing the program.

Program Spotlight: Feeding Therapy

(Above) Jack shows off his creation. (Right) Jack takes the order of Kim Goldenberger, Encompass Administrative Assistant
|
|
This is Jack. He comes to feeding therapy and works on trying new foods and making new recipes.
Last week, he took pizza orders for other people in the clinic to show caring and kindness and to practice cooking with new ingredients, even if he didn't eat all of them.
Jack had fun taking orders and sharing his creations. He even got a tip!

Kinship family connected with local laptop resource
|
|
|
When one of our Kinship families had a computer crash, the community sprang into action to help get this busy teen the resources she needs to do her schoolwork.
When the family reached out to our staff, we connected them with the North Bend Masons Unity Lodge 198
"Laptops for Students"
program. The Masons set her up with a laptop and she was able to start school on the right foot!

Back to School at Encompass
|
Our preschool classes started back up again, and both students and teachers have survived the first week!
The halls are once again full of laughter, tiny voices, pattering footsteps, and yes, some tears, as some of our students begin their first year of preschool.
We wish everyone a happy and healthy start to the school year!
