Harvey Relief Supply Distribution Center Open in Kingwood

Houston, TX - Houston Council Member Dave Martin has organized for the Kingwood Community Center to be used as a hurricane relief supply distribution center. In coordination with a former resident of Kingwood a semi-truck full of supplies has been sent to the Kingwood Area all the way from Detroit, Michigan. The masterminds putting all these supplies together are none other than former Kingwood residents Gina, Todd, Emily and Travis Swanson (Detroit Lions #64). A big "Geaux Lions" and "Thank You" from Kingwood #Detroit2Houston!

The supplies are available at the Kingwood Community Center located at 4102 Rustic Woods, right next to the Kingwood Metro  Park and Ride. Supplies are available for pick up today, Tuesday, September 13  until 4:00 p.m. and tomorrow , Thursday, September 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Due to previously scheduled reservations at the Kingwood Community Center and the amount of supplies distributed over the past week, the distribution center will not reopen Friday, September 15.

Supplies ready for pick up today include clothing and toiletries. Additionally, H-E-B has provided a semi-truck full of free ice for residents. The truck is located in the parking lot of the community center.  Please note, the distribution center is out of water and cleaning supplies.
