I know that if you have received this email, raising awareness of familial hypercholesterolemia is a cause that is dear to your heart. You know as well as I do that awareness doesn't raise itself, otherwise this problem would have been solved already.

We need your help.

It takes the hard work and dedication of caring people who make this their mission. And honestly, it takes financial resources as well.

This month, members of our FH community are Racing for FH. They are asking you to support the FH Foundation by donating to their Race for FH effort. Will you please make a generous gift on behalf of one of these amazing racers? We have a Kids4FH team, a First 5K team, teams in memory of loved ones lost to FH, and teams celebrating survival. Every dollar they raise helps the FH Foundation conduct research, advocate for early diagnosis and promote optimal care to save lives.

In addition, the FH Foundation provides valuable support for individuals and families living with FH. I hear from someone with FH every day who is looking for an FH specialist, wanting to understand treatment options, or needing help navigating insurance for FH treatment. A community of people is coming together to support each other to advocate for the right diagnosis and for better care. I am inspired every day by the people I am lucky enough to know through my work with the FH Foundation, especially our volunteer FH Advocates for Awareness.
