The Task Force has been doing outreach and engaging partners in several areas of Milwaukee where African American women are dying of breast cancer at nearly twice the rate of women in surrounding areas. The coalition will partner with biotech company, Genentech, to roll out a project called SisterPact, which was successfully piloted in 2015 in Memphis, TN. The g

ICYMI: In Case You Missed It |
In the State of the Union address, President Barak Obama appointed Vice President Joe Biden to head the Cancer Moonshot, bringing together science, technology, advocacy, social science and big data to combat the disease. To guide the scientific direction for the Cancer Moonshot, the Administration established a Blue Ribbon Panel of many of the nation's top cancer experts. After just a few short months, the Blue Ribbon Panel delivered a report that summarizes the work of the Panel and its working groups into 10 transformative recommendations to shape the research blueprint for the Cancer Moonshot.
