As the November election draws near, I challenge you to exercise your right to vote. While some might say that their vote does not count, it is interesting to consider the message that is being sent by those who choose not to vote.
Voting goes beyond selecting the next President of the United States. Last November, for example, the citizens of Lewisville passed the largest bond package to reinvest back in the community. Your vote can create change.
A higher voter turnout would reflect a greater representation of what our city, county, state, and nation need.
Voting is a privilege that should not be taken lightly.
The last day to register to vote for the November 8 general election is Tuesday, October 11. Visit
VoteTexas.gov to register online or identify locations to complete voter registration application.
