What's New for Fascination in Fabrics you might ask? Well, for starters check out the gallery on my website to view some great pictures of my "Sewing on the Go" camps. We really had a lot of fun! Thanks everyone for making my Camps so successful.

Starting in September Ms. Bobbi's Blog will be kid friendly and I'd like to encourage my students as well as my parents to tune in each week for an update on our classes and projects. When you click to the blog you will see the latest blog with the past weeks archived for your convenience! My sock monkey with glasses on and pen in hand (that's me as a sock monkey) will give you details of our classes and will let you know if kits are available for the weekly project!

Did you Know that September is National Sewing Month. Now is the time to try a sewing class and believe me there are so many to choose from depending on your interests! If you know how to sew, teach a friend, child, or relative how to sew. If teaching isn't your forte, find a sewing teacher (like yours truly) and sign them up for lessons or give them a gift certificate so they can sign up for the sewing classes of their choice. Learning to sew and loving it! You know they will!

Yes, that's the other big news; very soon I'm going to have extra kits on the website available for purchase at a nominal cost. Kits will be both hand and machine projects and will have all the materials cut and ready to be sewn. If the project comes from Pinterest or the Internet I will let you know where to go to get the instructions. If the projects are from a book, I will let you know what the title and author is and if I have the book for sale on my site. And, in the near future I hope to be finishing up some projects that I have designed. It's so exciting. My kids will be able to sew at home and parents won't have to navigate the sewing store. Great for homeschoolers too!

 

National Sewing Month

It's almost time for sewing classes to begin at Tower Hill and Tatnall. Make sure to register at your school soon so you won't miss out on the fun! If you're at Tower Hill, Ms Bobbi has "Sewing on the Go" classes for second thru sixth graders on Tuesday and Wednesday. "Junior Sewing on the Go" classes for Kindergarten and First Grade will run on Thursday and "Sewing Sampler" for my Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten kids will run on Friday. If you're at Tatnall, my "Sewing on the Go" class for first thru sixth grade will run Monday afternoons.

Fall Sewing Classes

My Book Sale continues this month on a select group of books mostly from C&T Publishers. Lots of books on different types of quilting as well as some Christmas and Halloween titles, and a selection of other crafting books and DVD's I'm sure you'll enjoy. Beautifully written with lots of pictures makes them very user friendly. The books ranged in price from $32.95 down to $9.95 and I am selling them each for just $6.95! Check them out on my website! They make great gifts too!
