Myrtle Beach Stories

Meher Baba's dynamic women devotees Elizabeth Patterson, Kitty Davy, Margaret Craske, and Jane Haynes lived for many years at the Meher Spiritual Center established in Myrtle Beach, So. Carolina. Elizabeth and Kitty were instrumental in establishing this Center for Baba in the 1950s, and lived on there, running the Center for decades. Jane Haynes joined them in their work, and in later years Margaret Craske also settled at the Meher Spiritual Center.

Elizabeth Patterson
with Meher Baba
Before they depart LA to take up residence near Avatar's Abode in Australia, our friends Daniel and Carolyn Montague have agreed to share their personal recollections of these lively women (with and through whom Meher Baba accomplished some of his spiritual work in America). Their recollections dating back as much as 45 years, for Daniel and Carolyn established a family and and lived near the Meher Spiritual Center (on & off) for several decades. In
Kitty Davy
with  Meher Baba
many ways Kitty, Elizabeth, Jane and Margaret all became part of their family.

Come enjoy Daniel & Carolyn's warm stories and memories of times spent with these four distinctive and memorable devotees of the Beloved Baba's.

The Sunday talk will be followed by a potluck lunch celebration, as we "send off" the Montagues to their further Baba adventures.
(If convenient, y ou are invited to bring any dish of food to share.)

How to Love God:
Esfandiar Vesali's Experience of Meher Baba
(continued)
a talk by
Shirin Vahidi

Born in Iran,  Esfandiar Vesali  was a young student at Meher Baba's  Prem Ashram  at Meherabad in India in the 1920s, participating in the unique spiritual education that Baba unfolded there. In later years, Esfandiar lived in Southern California (till the end of his earthly days in 2005). Esfandiar was thus known to and well loved by many of our Meherabode members. This Sunday program is devoted to recollections of Esfandiar and his experience of and devotion to Beloved Baba.

including Esfandiar Vesali

Join us this Sunday for a warm gathering, focusing on recollections of Meher Baba's Persian devotee Esfandiar Vesali, in appreciation for Esfandiar's love for and experience of Meher Baba. The program, hosted by Shirin Vahidi, will include both shared stories as well as video footage selected from Esfandiar's talks. Come enjoy! (This is the second such talk given by Shirin.)
