Principal's Message
September 10, 2016
Dear Families and Friends of OLQP:

Many years ago, an Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament sister had a desire planted in her heart. She felt called to start a school in southern Brazoria County. Several times, she approached people in the community about her idea. Time passed. She went on a pilgrimage to Medjugorje. Upon return, she felt that it was time to bring forth the idea again. This time, with God's grace, everything started to fall into place. Sister Antoinette Peltier was a force of nature. She was on a mission from God. The school started by using classrooms at St. Jerome's. Eventually, property and buildings followed. Over the years, many hands, hearts, prayers, time, treasure, and talent have poured into Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic School to make it what it is today. It all started with a woman of Faith who prayed and trusted in God. OLQP is her legacy. We are blessed to be called to help carry it on.
"Every work needs preparation. It seems that God first works out His design by first putting that desire in someone's heart...choosing a very ordinary young woman to do the groundwork for Him and giving her the background and temperament necessary to get the job done. "  Sr. Antoinette Peltier
Please join us at 10am on Friday, September 16, as we come together as a community to give thanks to God for the life and legacy of Sr. Antoinette and pray for His blessings as we work together to chart the next 30 years.

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam,
Mrs. Marianne Mechura, M.Ed.
