DC Chamber of Commerce Welcomes Vincent Orange, Sr. as
Chief Executive Officer and President

Experience as Business Leader and Government Official Will Provide Value to our Members

"The DC Chamber of Commerce is pleased to now have Vincent Orange Sr. leading the organization and empowering it to continue to be the "Voice of Business" in Washington and grow into its great potential. I am confident that Vincent, with his strong for-profit, not-for-profit, and legislative experience, is the right person for the job," said Carl Hairston, Chairman of the Chamber's Board.

"The Board and I are looking forward to seeing the Chamber further stabilize and grow with Vincent at the helm after having successfully weathered several years of financial challenges," Hairston said. "Work is already underway to reinforce the Chamber's foundation, fill key open staffing roles, increase engagement with all levels of membership, enhance our social media presence and move forward with a proactive legislative agenda. With even greater precision, the Chamber will advocate for balanced, informed business regulations that do not put our members at a disadvantage with businesses in surrounding jurisdictions, as well as foster an environment of business growth and development.

"I am ready and committed, one hundred percent, since starting recently where I assumed the position of President and CEO of the District of Columbia Chamber of Commerce," Orange said.  "I look forward to the challenge and to embarking upon the work to ensure the Chamber elevates to its fullest potential while providing value to our membership. Our job is to bring business, government and community together to reap the benefits business can provide in a business-friendly DC."
