HISA Constitution gets a Makeover

Thanks to all HISA members at the AGM who cast their votes on the HISA Constitution proposed changes.  The last time the Constitution was updated was 2012 - it's no simple feat to embark on Constitutional change.  If you are interested in the full changes that were made, you can find the items that were voted on and the results from the voting here.

A couple of key changes is that from 2017 onwards, State committee members will be elected for 2 year terms (instead of 1 as it has been previously) and HISA Student members are also now able to stand for state committee elections and vote in state branch elections.

HISA's Innovating Health Series

Our Innovating Health Series has been bringing together health leaders and industry experts committed to raising the profile of digital health innovation and doing something about it.

Delivered with the partnership and support of Accenture the series targets topical industry challenges, bringing disruptive perspectives, harnessing collective ideas to create a new conversation, and ultimately generate new solutions to stimulate innovation and change in healthcare. To date the series has covered The Culture of Innovation in Healthcare (Sydney), The Internet of Things (Brisbane), and Balancing Innovation and Cybersecurity in Healthcare (Melbourne).

Our next topic is the Blending of Health and Human Services (Canberra) with Professor Jason Potts RMIT. The Series will continue on with further topical areas through 2016 and 2017. For an overview of the series thus far click here and check out www.innovatinghealth.org.au
