I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season and been able to take some time to rest.  For those that struggled this season, you have made it through and it is time to begin a new year with some new goals and adventures.

During my travels the past couple of weeks I have been hearing much about keeping things simple for the upcoming year and making changes to streamline life, remembering your priorities and weeding out those things that are time-consuming but hold no value in your life.  I agree with the idea wholeheartedly and hope you can join me in this quest as the year progresses.

Read below about some changes in my practice as well as some things to think about regarding this New Year and its new beginnings.

As always, please pass along this information to anyone you feel may benefit from its content.  I am looking for some new subscribers, so please invite others to read this monthly email.  Your help in this matter is most appreciated.

Sincerely,

From The Positive Perspective.......

What do you want to do with this new beginning?  There are lots of options.  Think about what you enjoyed about last year and what went well for you. What was your biggest accomplishment? Is there any reason to change any of that?  Probably not.  A new beginning does not mean that everything has to change.  Jot down some of those good things and keep that list.

Now what did not go so well last year?  Think about how you can alter some things to make those same situations that may occur this year have a better result.  What can you control to have a better result this time?  We can't worry about what we cannot control but we can make adjustments in areas we can control. What would you like to be your biggest accomplishment this year?  How can you make that happen?

Now think about your leisure and free time.  Do you need to spend more or less time this year in these areas?  Were you as productive as you should have been last year? If you had an exceptionally stressed year or are anticipating a very stressful year ahead and may need more time here to de-stress and relax, then think about more ways to enjoy your time with family or friends or just with yourself, such as outings with others or a new hobby.  If you have not been as productive as you should have been, maybe you need to eliminate a hobby or cut back on those nights out with  friends.

Now take the information from all these areas and put it all together to come up with a plan for yourself for the year. I would love to hear some of your plans if you feel so inclined to share them.  Good luck with your plan and remember to look at this project.....From The Positive Perspective.

On a business note......

For those of you who are already clients, my base pricing was increased on January 1st due to many of my cost increases over the last 2 years, but good news, I am now taking Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO/POS insurance, if that is your primary carrier.  Please contact me if you have any questions regarding either of these changes.

I am also very much involved in the Southlake Newcomers Club Fundraising Event this year entitled Visions of Vegas which will be held at the Marriott Solana on Saturday, March 29th.  This event has raised in excess of $25,000 a year for local charities and this year promises to be no exception.  If you would like to donate to this event in any way or attend, please let me know and I would be happy to send you more details.  Giving back to the community is very important to me and to the values I exemplify to my family and to my clients every day.
