Archie Cameron
   

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Archie Cameron on August 7th, 2016. Archie had a life passion for golf, becoming a member of the Royal Regina Golf Club in 1988. In 2007, he accepted the role of general manger of the club, for him it was not seen as a job. Archie will truly be missed by family, friends and the golf community in Saskatchewan. Golf Saskatchewan has added a new member to their team. Aubrey Shanofer will be in charge of Program and Membership Services.
 
Aubrey attended the University of Saskatchewan completing her B.Comm in 2014. With a degree in management Aubrey gained many valuable skills as a restaurant manager in Saskatoon.

105th Amateur Men's Championship

Justin Wood is the winner of the 105th Amateur
Men's Championship. Wood finished off day four at the Legends Golf Course in Warman with 288(E). The other two medal spots went to Jehremy Ryde (silver) and David Stewart (bronze). The team traveled to Quebec at the beginning of August to compete in the Canadian Men's Amateur Championship.

Amateur Women's & Mid-Am Men's Results

The tournament held on July 6th-8th at Moon Lake Golf and Country Club was a great success.
 
The Amateur Women's results are as follows:
1st-Kim Walker
2nd-Carla Odnokon
3rd-Brooke Hill


The women competed at the end of July in Nova Scotia for the Canadian Women's Amateur Championship. For information on the nationals click here.
 
The Mid-Amateur Men's Results are as follows:

The men will be competing in Quebec at nationals Aug 23-26th.

 66th Junior Women's Championship 

Chloe Sies of Melville took the gold medal after  a playoff round with fellow  competitor Kayla  Sawchuk. Hannah MacNeil (bronze) finished third overall. The team traveled to Nova Scotia where they competed in the Canadian Junior Girl's Championship.

Senior Men's and Senior Women's Tournament
 
The 97th Senior Men's an the 57th Senior Women's was played July 26th-28th. The tournament had an excellent turn out with over one-hundred players participating.
 
The 57th SK Senior Women's tournament winners include:

The SK Summer Games took place in Estevan from July 24-30th. Golfers competed in a two day tournament to gain both a team and individual medal standing. The results are as follows:

46th SK Women's Rosebowl

Cheryl Lawrence and Linda Sokul took home the gold medal on August 11th at Greenbryre Golf Golf & Country Club. The pair claimed the Rosebowl in 2010 and 2011 as well.

Junior Girls Skills Camp

Come join Coaches Amanda Minchin and Jason Schneider on August 4th at the Greenbryre GCC for a Girls Fall Camp. The goal of the camp is for girls from around the province to meet each other and develop their skills in the game of golf. The camp is open to Junior Female Golfers of all skill levels. Congratulations to Marc Sweeney for winning the Junior Men's  national skills challenge.The CN Future Links Skills challenge was held at the Glenn Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, Ont.. In addition to his victory Marc has earned a spot in the 2017 
CN Future Links Championship in Saskatchewan.
