Principal's Message
September 3, 2016
Dear Families and Friends of OLQP:

As another page on the calendar turns over, we see many things to look forward to in the month of September! Students have already enjoyed their first t-shirt and blue jean day. It was great to see so many students wearing the t-shirt designed by seventh grader Greyson Cammarn. On early dismissal day, students headed for home while teachers met to work on logistics and curriculum. The faculty also shared time in Adoration and closed the day with fellowship. The sports seasons are kicking off. Please check the schedules and join us for the home games to show your SAINTS spirit!  Events in September include celebrating Blessed Mother's birthday, Open House, the 30 th Anniversary Mass, Parent-Teacher Conferences, Brazoria County Fair Art Contest, and a Jr. High dance. The students and staff of OLQP are staying busy!
Bringing the Faith to students is an important part of what we do at OLQP. I grew up enjoying the beautiful traditions of the Catholic Faith through my family and my Catholic school and parish. One of the experiences that has been most profound in my life is the gift of Eucharistic Adoration. At morning prayer, the students learned about Our Lord's message to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. The message was one of love and mercy. As we see the conclusion of the Jubilee Year of Mercy, we at OLQP are embarking on a journey to follow the steps of St. Margaret Mary as we honor our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration on each of the First Fridays of the school year. Adoration will follow the regularly scheduled Mass that day.  All are welcome to join us.
Working together, we are building a community of Faith and learning.  Thank you for being part of this mission and ministry.
