CVB's Efforts Help Keep Santa Clara Hotels Occupancy Above Industry Average

The Santa Clara Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) staff works to sell prospective visitors to Santa Clara on visiting the city's exceptional hotels and attractions. In that vain, for the second consecutive year, Santa Clara hotels near California's Great America, Levi's Stadium, and Santa Clara Convention Center have seen their 3rd quarter hotel occupancy above 80%. In the 3rd quarter the hotels in this area averaged 82% in 2015 and 85% in 2014  -  phenomenal occupancy rates well ahead of the national average of 68%.

The CVB's sales, marketing and communications, and administrative staff's work in help filling these hotels has made a significant impact on the local economy. In addition, the CVB staff played a big part, along with San Francisco Travel, in working on the bid that brought Super Bowl 50 to Santa Clara.
