The Road Report - August 1, 2016

There are a couple of important upcoming road closures we wanted to be sure you were aware of - one on Bethany Road that will continue for approximately six weeks, and another overnight closure on Western Row Road related to ongoing water line work.

As always, please slow down in work zones and be mindful of signage that alerts you to new travel patterns.

Ongoing water line work will require a nighttime closure on Western Row Road east of the Northbound I-71 exit ramp and Columbia Road, where the road takes a 90-degree bend.

The closure will take place from Thursday, August 4, at 10 p.m., through Friday, August
5, at 5 a.m.

A detour from Western Row Road to Columbia Road to Socialville-Fosters Road will be put in place and will be marked with signage.

Road Closure Information:

From Thursday, August 4, 2016, through Friday, September 16, 2016, Bethany Road will be closed from Mason-Montgomery Road to SR 741. A detour that uses Mason-Montgomery Road, US 42 and SR 741 will be put in place and will be marked with signage.

Project Information:

Drainage improvements will take place along Bethany Road from Chanticleer Lane to Windemere Way, and the Bethany Road bridge over the tributary of Little Muddy Creek will be replaced. Drainage improvements will include various elements to help improve the flow and accumulation of water during periods of heavy rain.

Improvements will include replacing the drainage pipes that run along local driveways in the project area, storm sewer installation and sewer line repairs, a water main relocation, and re-grading ditches. The new culvert (drainage infrastructure) will be extended to the north to accommodate a future bike path that will be built next year.

Construction Timing:

August 2016 through September 2016
