HIA-LI 14TH ANNUAL SUMMER FOOD DRIVE -May through September - Calling all small businesses in Nassau and Suffolk Counties! Join the nation's second largest small business food drive this summer! Over 200 businesses partner for this good cause of collecting food donations! Interested in team building? Host a friendly competition! Habberstad BMW of Huntington and Bayshore is collecting food drive donations throughout September! Plus the dealer is giving Long Island Cares funding for every test drive and car sold!

I-HOP -Don't forget to bring a bag of non-perishables (maybe breakfast foods? J ) to help combat childhood hunger during the summer. Enjoy your delicious I-HOP while knowing you helped to bring breakfast to others! These select locations only: Hauppauge, Lake Grove, Ronkonkoma, and Port Jefferson Station.

Music to Meals Events

How do you turn music into meals, you ask? Attend one (or all) of these FREE concerts and bring non-perishable food to donate to Long Island Cares!

The Huntington Summer Arts Festival is bringing Jen Chapin to the Chapin Rainbow Stage on Friday, August 5^th at 7pm! Help fight hunger on Long Island by bringing your non-perishable donations to this Contemporary Indie Folk/Rock concert! Located at Hecakscher Park at Prime Avenue and Main Street in Huntington.

The Nesconset Chamber of Commerce and County Legislator Leslie Kennedy are continuing their Summer Concert Series food drives! If you plan to attend the concerts at the Nesconset Gazebo (across from Nesconset Plaza - 127 Smithtown Boulevard), please remember to bring a non-perishable donation! All concerts start at 7:30 PM. This month brings:

Tuesday, August 9th -Beginnings (the premier Chicago tribute band)

Tuesday, August 14th - The BRB Band (Best Rock Ballads)

Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker and VFW Post 6249 are sponsoring food drives throughout their 2016 Downtown Rocky Point Summer Concert Series! The concerts are all held on Tuesdays, and all begin at 7:00 PM. Be sure to bring non-perishable donations when you head out to hear some great music! The Summer Concert Series is as follows:

Tuesday, August 9th - Southbound (Long Island's County and Classic Rock Band)

Tuesday, August 16th - Mike DelGuidice & Big Shot (Celebrating the Music of Billy Joel)

For the 3^rd year in a row the Northport Summerfest is sponsoring a food drive for the summer concerts!! Visit the beautiful Northport Village Park with a bag of groceries for donation! Performances on Thursday nights at 8pm, but get there early! Dates are August 4^th, 11^th, 18^th, and 25^th.

WUSB Benefest : Head to Katie's of Smithtown on August 13^th and 14^th with your bag of groceries for two days of music filled with 38 different bands! This festival includes many of the best names in the Long Island music scene! Located at 145 West Main Street in Smithtown.

Thursday, August 4 - The Zydeco Paddleboat Cruise - Our annual Zydeco Cruise benefitting the Long Island Cares Endowment Fund features music from River City Slim and the Zydeco Hogs. Join us aboard the Lauren Kristy! Boarding at 5:30 PM at Bay Shore Marina.

Thursday, August 18th - Senator Boyle is hosting yet another "Stuff a Truck" food drive for us today at the Shop Rite of West Babylon from 9:30AM-2PM!

It's almost time for Long Island's children to return to school! Consider hosting a School Supply Drive, or donating new school supplies at any of our locations!

Great Neck Fitness at 200 Middle Neck Road in Great Neck is an ongoing collecting stop this summer!

Don't forget the fur babies! All Long Island Petco locations are official pet food donation centers for Long Island Cares. We accept pet food for ALL pets including but not limited to dogs, cats, ferrets, bunnies, caged pets, reptiles, fish, and others. Please note only unopened pet food and new accessories are accepted.
