July is in full bloom and despite the recent heatwave, we’re happy to see families spend more time together during these summer months off.
We also want families to be aware that children’s counseling services are available through the summer.
In this age of ever-evolving social media, and the dissemination of tragic news headlines that seem to pervade the Internet, students have a lot to deal with, not to mention staying on top of their classes, extracurricular activities, applying to colleges, and the general stresses that come with being a teen in the 21
st
century.
For many students, these stressors are the cause of much pent-up anxiety that isn’t always addressed.
That’s why Hospice of Santa Barbara has
counselors on hand at eleven local junior high and high school campuses
throughout the county
.
This service supports students facing the death of a loved one or other traumatic situations and helps address and eliminate self-destructive behaviors.
Our goal is for your child to live the best life possible, and to know that Hospice of Santa Barbara will always be here for support.
We wish everyone a healthy, happy rest of July.
