The Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission is here to help with your production needs and our services are provided free of charge.

The Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission is recognized by the County of Humboldt, County of Del Norte, and the California Film Commission as the official advocate for filming in Humboldt and Del Norte, California. We are also a member of the organization FLICS (Film Liaisons in California Statewide). The Film Commissioner, Cassandra Hesseltine, is currently serving her second term as the President of FLICS.

Cassandra Hesseltine became the region's Film Commissioner in fall of 2010. Prior to taking on the role of Film Commissioner, Cassandra worked in film and theater.

This film-friendly gem of a regional airport just opened a new terminal that comes in just under 15,000 sq ft. With the opening of this new terminal, the airport now has all the modern amenities one would expect PLUS world-class views of surrounding trees and Castle Rock National Wildlife Refuge. From the new lobby, holding area, and second floor mezzanine, the terminal offers cinematic views all around.

The airport is currently serviced by Contour Airlines with two flights daily to and from Oakland during the busier part of the year, one flight daily the balance of the year. Flight costs can run as low as $69 each way on certain days, if booked far enough in advance. So, not only can you shoot in this airport, but you can flight straight here from the Bay area. You won't be disappointed when you choose this location for your project!
