Timely help in planning your upcoming fundraising events
I hope everyone is doing well and weathering this “storm” as well as can be expected. As we get closer to the start of a new school year, I wanted to reach out and send an update on Chapter Events. First and foremost, we know that you are here to support our students, teachers, schools, and programs in Douglas County School District - and what you do for them is awesome! The Foundation is here to support you and your fundraising efforts.

Right now, because of the current COVID-19 restrictions, I wanted to check in with you on your upcoming events. We are recommending that if events can be taken virtually, you do so. If not, it will be critical to follow current CDC, Tri-County Health (if considering a venue outside of Douglas County) and Douglas County health orders. To clearly understand the current policies, here are links to CDC Guidelines, their event planning tool and the current Douglas County variance for gatherings.

As public health orders change, we will update the Foundation website with links to current guidelines.

Thank you for all of the wonderful things you do for our DCSD families!

Best Regards,

Ashley Sommers,
Executive Director
