Happy Birthday Fr. Jim Thomas!
Watch over your child, Jim, O Lord, as his days increase; bless and guide him wherever he may be. Strengthen him when he stands; comfort him when discouraged or sorrowful; raise him up if he fall; and in his big ol' Oklahoma heart, may your peace which passes understanding abide all the days of his life; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!
The littlest ones from Sonoma Preschool Academy wish Fr. Jim Happy Birthday in his office on Friday.
Much love to you on your birthday, Jim.
We love you!
Thanksgiving for the Social Order
O God, who created all peoples in your image, we thank you for the wonderful diversity of races and cultures in this world. Enrich our lives by ever-widening circles of fellowship, and show us your presence in those who differ most from us, until our knowledge of your love is made perfect in our love for all your children; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

September 9th is Norah Collins Day!
In the City of Sonoma, September 9th has been declared "Norah Collins Day," by Mayor Logan Harvey, for Norah's contributions to the community via the Prayer Shawl Ministry at Trinity Church. Norah was celebrated on Wednesday evening during the City Council meeting held via Zoom. During the meeting, the Council explained the award was part of the "Celebrate Sonoma" program designed to recognize people in the community who contribute in ways that make Sonoma a great place to live. Fr. Jim invited Norah to come down to the church and watch live as her award was announced. There was a wonderful presentation, with letters and pictures of shawl/blanket recipients expressing their appreciation of getting a shawl. Norah also received a beautifully framed certificate declaring September 9th Norah Collins Day!

Celebrating after the meeting in Dallas Library with a bit of champagne with folks who made the award possible, while Norah receives generous gifts to the Prayer Shawl Ministry.

It was a lovely meeting and a happy gathering!
Congratulations NORAH!
And a BIG thank you to the Prayer Shawl Ministry knitters and crocheters for all the wonderful and loving work you do, and the heartfelt gifts you share so generously!
God loves a cheerful giver!
A VERY GRATEFUL thank you to all our parishioners and friends who continue to mail in donations and stewardship pledges. Read more...

More Information on Mindfulness...

The great meditation master Thich Nhat Hanh teaches five mindfulness exercises to help you live with happiness and joy.

Our true home is not in the past. Our true home is not in the future. Our true home is in the here and the now. Life is available only in the here and the now, and it is our true home.
Mindfulness is the energy that helps us recognize the conditions of happiness that are already present in our lives. You don’t have to wait ten years to experience this happiness. It is present in ... Read More
