Reflections with Fr. Mark
In our Catholic Christian faith, we are called to “choose life” as Moses tells his people.  We have only to watch the daily news to see the many choices for death: physical, emotional and spiritual.  

We witness our politicians enacting laws that not only strip away protections for the unborn but further the aggression by decidedly allowing the execution of the innocent up until the moment of birth and beyond. We have those that proclaim to be Catholic yet turn the moral and humane into a buffet of “choice” rather than a respect and choice for life itself.

Every person is on a journey…. let us just make sure we choose life always.

COVID Vaccine for Parishioners 65 Years and Older
 
Duarte Unified School District has provided a unique opportunity
for local parishioners to receive the COVID vaccine.
 
Location: Duarte, CA
Saturday, February 20, and Sunday, February 21
 
Here are the details:
  • Person must be 65 years or older
  • The person must be in need for both the 1st and 2nd dose of the vaccine. People who have already received the 1st vaccine are not eligible.
  • The vaccine is made by Pfizer. 
  • Staff administrating the vaccines from the City of Hope.
  • Appointments required.
  • First come, first serve basis - there are a limited number of vaccines available.
 
  • First doses will be administered on Saturday, February 20th & Sunday, February 21st at a location in Duarte, CA. 
  • 2nd doses will be administered on Saturday, March 20th & Sunday, March 21st at a location in Duarte, CA
  • You will remain in your car throughout the process.
  • Please bring a photo ID that shows your birthdate and a copy of your appointment verification.

  • After the survey has been completed - you will receive a personalized e-mail - follow the instructions in the e-mail to schedule your appointment. Do not show up without an appointment.
  • You will receive an e-mail with a confirmation of your appointment and where to go. Don't forget to bring your ID and confirmation paperwork.
