RTMC April Newsletter
National Rebuilding Month
"Too many of our neighbors throughout the country suffer from the health and economic consequences of living in substandard housing and unsafe communities. National Rebuilding Month serves as a call to action to encourage everyone to support their neighbors, strengthen their community and ensure everyone is living in safe and healthy homes." - Caroline Blakely, President and CEO of Rebuilding Together

This is an exciting month for RTMC as we celebrate National Rebuilding Month and prepare for National Rebuilding Day on April 28th and April 29th. We are excited to be working with businesses and faith-based organizations on 13 project sites this year as we work together to provide safe and healthy home repairs to families across the County.

We invite you to participate in National Rebuilding Month by taking a look at your own home and seeing what safe and healthy home repairs you can make. For a helpful guide on items to examine, click here.

To stay up to date on what is happening throughout National Rebuilding Month, and the projects on National Rebuilding Day, please follow our social media accounts on either Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Be sure to tag us on Facebook and Instagram @RTMoCo, and on Twitter @RTMontCo, with the work you are doing to make your home a safer and healthier space.

Window Safety
This past weekend we enjoyed warmer temperatures and a sample of Spring weather. With nicer weather comes the urge to open your windows and introduce fresh air into your house. Before doing so, we advise you to take appropriate safety measures to protect the children in your household. Follow this link for safety tips that were highlighted during National Window Safety week earlier this month.
RTMC Volunteer Center
Recently, RTMC introduced a new portal for volunteer's called the Volunteer Center. Through this site, volunteers can register for existing projects and register as an "interested" volunteer for future projects. Though we do not have any open projects at this time, we invite you to register as a interested volunteer. To visit the Volunteer Center, click here. For a video on how to navigate the Volunteer Center, visit our YouTube page.
